CROZIER'S FOREIGN CITIZENSHIP STANDS IN WAY OF RELEASE.(CAPITAL REGION)

If Knickerbocker Arena architect J. Gregory Crozier were an American citizen, he'd be out of prison and on his way to a halfway house in Albany today.

Crozier was due to be released today after serving six months of his 18-month prison term for his 1991 conviction for conspiring to bribe former County Executive James J. Coyne Jr.

However, rather than going to a local halfway house, Crozier may end up serving out his entire sentence at the federal prison camp in Lewisburg, Pa., and then be deported because he is a Canadian citizen, defense attorney Raymond Kelly said.
